For the “Edit Webpage” Chrome extension • Last updated: 30 Aug 2025

Overview

“Edit Webpage” enables on-demand editing of the current page in your browser for demos, mockups, or quick copy tweaks. Your edits are local and revert when the page reloads.

Data collection

We do not collect, transmit, store, or sell personal or sensitive user data.

How the extension works

When you click the toolbar icon, the extension injects a small, packaged script that toggles the page into an editable state using document.designMode / contentEditable. It does not read, capture, or transmit page content.

Permissions

These are the minimum permissions required for the core functionality and are used only in direct response to your action.

Cookies, storage, and device data

The extension does not set or read cookies, does not persist data via extension storage, and does not access device identifiers.

Third‑party services

No third‑party services, SDKs, or content delivery networks are used. All executable code is included in the extension package; no remote code or eval is used. The extension follows Chrome Manifest V3 and its Content Security Policy.

Children’s privacy

The extension is a general‑audience tool and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Security

The extension operates entirely on‑device. Because no user data is transmitted or stored by us, risks related to data breaches are inherently minimized.
