SummaryTube

The story

Long videos hide short answers. SummaryTube turns any YouTube video into a readable AI summary, a list of key moments with timestamps and a full transcript, so you can decide in seconds whether a video is worth an hour of your time.

It started as a website and grew into a companion browser extension that adds a summary panel right next to the YouTube player. Signed-in users get a personal library of every video they've summarised.

What it does

• AI summaries, key moments and transcripts for any YouTube video
• Chrome and Firefox extensions that summarise in place on YouTube
• A saved library of summaries in your account
